A collection of the top health insurance executives will discuss an insider’s perspective on health care reform during the Greater Philadelphia Association of Health Underwriters’ annual conference, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2, in Drexel Hill, Pa.
Ronald A. Williams, chairman and CEO of Aetna and an advisor to President Barack Obama on health reform, will discuss what he’s seeing inside the administration.
Jim Stenger, regional vice president of the National Association of Health Underwriters, will moderate a panel discussion in response to Williams’ comments. Panelists scheduled to participate include Mary Claire Bonner, senior vice president for local and regional business for Aetna; Chris Butler, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Independence Blue Cross; and Sue Schick, new president of UnitedHealthcare in Pennsylvania.
Matt Manders, senior vice president of CIGNA’s total health, productivity, network and middle market, also is scheduled to speak during the event, which begins at 8 a.m. A trade show, featuring more than 60 exhibitors, is planned.
The event, which includes breakfast and a buffet lunch, is being held at the Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center at 4700 Drexelbrook Drive.
The event costs $45 for GPAHU and NAHU members and $70 for non-members.
